Warning COSHH Store Safety Signs
Workplace equipment that involved hazardous substances must be compliant with the latest Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) regulations. Controlling hazardous substances requires storage that adheres to the manufacturer's specifications, lessening the danger of exposure to these substances and the likelihood of an accident occurring. Following a thorough COSHH assessment of the workplace's storage capacities, the appropriate storage facilities will be implemented.
The designated storage area for the dangerous substances must be clearly labelled as such - COSHH warning signs are therefore vital to indicate that anyone entering the area understands the risks and subsequent responsibilities. The warning COSHH store safety signs are designed to alert employees, subcontractors, visitors, and the general public to the presence of a possible hazard in the area.
There are several best practices for storing dangerous compounds safely. Visit our COSHH cabinets page for further information on the management of hazardous chemicals through proper storage.

How to choose safe storage for hazardous substances
Before storing hazardous substances, you must first consult the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) provided by the manufacturer. Because each chemical has different properties, the SDS will advise you on how to store them safely. It is a legal duty for the supplier or manufacturer to provide you with a printable or downloadable SDS, so contact the provider right once if you do not have one, and do not make guesses about the appropriate storage.
Once you have completed the risk assessment, consulted the SDS, and chosen the best storage area for the hazardous substances, you must clearly label the area with a COSHH warning sign. The sign must be securely attached and placed in an obvious position, so that it is immediately visible to anyone nearby.
Ensuring you have the correct warning signage for your chemical storage and cabinets is not only critical for employee safety but is also required under the Health and Safety Regulations 1996.
